Burgeon Beer Co. - Juice Press Hazy IPA
Updated: May 21
Burgeon Beer Co, located in Carlsbad, CA, has provided some of the juiciest, dankest, IPA's we've ever had. Their Juice Press Hazy IPA is the epitome of puckering, hoppy goodness. As the days get warmer (at least in Southern California), we're moving away from the toasted malts of stouts and porters and moving into the realm of bright hops in hazy and Brut IPA's. The Juice Press Hazy IPA simply ticks all the boxes for us. If you're looking for an excellent beer to welcome in the summer, look no further than this sunset-salud inducing concoction from Burgeon Beer.
Appearance: Like a carton of freshly poured Donald Duck OJ, this beer radiates juiciness when initially poured. It forms a thick, white head that's almost like milkshake.
Smell: Fruity, citrus notes proudly come forth in the initial wave. The hops make sure you're aware of the juiciness that awaits you in your first savor.
Taste: Based on what you smelled, what the heck did you expect? Bright citrus notes cut through the initial taste. The resin taste of hops and citrus round out the taste throughout the beer and provide a slightly oily aftertaste that serves as an excellent primer for another savory gulp.
Marketing: Citrus, Summer Sunsets, Tequila Sunrise, and funnily enough Orange Creamsicles. These are a few of our favorite things. Dad joke aside, the marketing of this beer is spot on. The beer was made for warm spring and summer days and the color palette follows suit.
